How much is rent in Lagos Life Game?

Lagos Life has five homes. Rent is charged per week, on Saturday at 9 AM, and it runs from ₦2,400 for a one-room flat in Mushin to ₦1,500,000 for a mansion on Banana Island. Here they all are, cheapest first.

Rent is per week, but a job pays per shift, so turn pay into a week before you set the two side by side. The jobs and salaries guide does that sum for every career. The chart uses a log scale, because the steps get huge: the jump from Lekki (₦17,000) to Ikoyi (₦250,000) is far bigger than the rents of the first three homes added together.

What does it cost to move into a home in Lagos Life?

Moving in costs 3 weeks of that home’s rent, paid up front: two weeks in advance, plus one week for the agent and the agreement. Face-me-I-face-you rooms in Mushin cost ₦7,200 to move into, Yaba costs ₦18,000 and Lekki costs ₦51,000.

The game’s own help says you can keep one home in each city. Abuja, Port Harcourt, Lagos Airport and Lagos Refinery show Coming soon in the game today, so for now that means one home, in Lagos. Before you move, have the whole move-in amount in your wallet and keep the next Saturday’s rent aside too.

Which home do you start in?

The birth lottery rolls your start, LAPO or Nepo, so it also decides your first home. A LAPO result lets you pick Mushin or Yaba, and gives you that home’s cash plus the ₦60,000 loan. The Lekki flat is locked for you. A Nepo result moves you straight into the Lekki flat with ₦500,000 pocket money and the rent paid for you. The most a LAPO player can hold on day one is ₦96,000.

Which home can you afford on a job?

Rent comes out of your week, so compare it with a week of pay, not a shift. A full week of shifts at rank 1 in Banking pays ₦58,000. One week of rent takes this much of that week (our arithmetic, before food, fares and tax):

• Mushin: 4%
• Yaba: 10%
• Lekki: 29%
• Ikoyi: 431%, which is more than the whole week

Ikoyi is out of reach on rank 1 pay in every career, because the best rank 1 week in the game is ₦108,000 and Ikoyi rent is ₦250,000. It only fits a top-rank week: the best one, ₦528,000, covers that rent just over twice.

If you rolled a LAPO start, add the loan repayment before you judge a home. In Mushin the fixed weekly bills are ₦2,400 rent plus ₦12,000 for the loan, which makes ₦14,400.

What happens if you cannot pay your Lagos Life rent?

Rent is charged every Saturday at 9 AM. If your wallet is short, the unpaid weeks add up. Once you owe 2 or more weeks, the game serves a Quit Notice and you have to move out. The screen offers the Mushin room.

Is Banana Island worth it in Lagos Life?

Banana Island is the top home: a mansion that fits 18 guests. Rent is ₦1,500,000 a week and moving in costs ₦4,500,000. For scale, the best full week any job can pay is ₦528,000, about a third of one week of this rent, so no job alone can carry it.

What can? By our estimates, only the two biggest businesses earn more than that rent in an average week, before tax. The Event Centre averages about ₦2,600,000 a week, and the club stake, listed as Quilox Share (5%), about ₦9,300,000. The Car Wash, the next one down, averages about ₦800,000. So treat Banana Island as a late goal, not a first one. The listing shows rooms, guest space and the rent, and we have not found any pay bonus tied to an address.
